In the 14th century, the word “Pagan” appeared in Middle English to describe those who believed in folk magic, simple rituals at home and the presence of the divine in all creation, derived from the Latin, paganus, just meaning “country dweller”. Today, “Paganism” describes an extremely diverse group of spiritual paths that share a love for the natural world and a belief in deep interconnections between all things.

The Raleigh based NC Pagan Pride Days Festival attracts Thousands of pagans, pagan friends and the pagan curious every year.
Open to the general public, this autumn celebration offers two days of both entertainment and education through social, commercial and spiritual activities.
All are welcome to join or observe rituals, attend workshops, meet local groups, and much more, all in a festival environment full of vendors, music, and fun.

2014 Pagan Pride Raleigh Final Report

First and foremost, a big THANK YOU to all of our 2014 attendees, vendors, performers, workshop leaders, volunteers and staff. Without all of you this event wouldn't be what it is today!

This was one of the largest Central NC Pagan Pride Days Festival we have held, with about 3,800 people in attendance, across both days, here is what we accomplished:

--- We received Food and Cash donations equaling more than 5.5 tons for the Food Bank of Central and Eastern NC.

--- The wonderful folks with the Wake County Animal Center received numerous donations of cat and dog food, toys, and supplies, and more importantly, found loving homes for 4 amazing animals.

--- The American Wildlife Refuge collected $450 in cash donations and raised awareness for their cause by participating in the Sunday public ritual with 4 of their refuge owls.

--- Midgard Serpents Reptile Rescue & Sanctuary received $75 in cash donations.

--- Blue Ridge Boxer Rescue collected $421 in cash donations, found a perfect home for one of their dogs, and accepted numerous adoption applications.  They also received 35 pounds of food and supplies that they are passing on to the Second Chance Pet Adoption shelter in Raleigh.

--- The Blood Donors at our event gave 28 units of blood to the American Red Cross of the Triangle, enough to save an estimated 84 lives.

To say this year was a huge success would be an understatement. Lets do everything we can to make Pagan Pride Raleigh 2015 even better!
